This trendy and affordable furniture store has only been around for a few months and already has furniture flying out the warehouse doors. And they’re refreshing stock on the daily.
What is their secret to success so early in the game?
“We understand that furniture shopping can be both stressful and expensive. That’s why we’re committed to creating a relaxed, no-pressure experience where you can find the perfect pieces for your home—at prices that won’t break the bank. Beyond great deals, we value personal connections, ensuring each customer feels cared for from the moment they walk through our doors to the final delivery at their home.” Allison Stevens, owner.
Not only are customers greeted warmly when walking through the warehouse doors, they’re also pleasantly surprised by the great prices and trendy styles that KeyPiece has to offer. Chandler and Allison have stressed that they strategically keep their overhead low so they can pass on significant savings to their customers. Their social media pages advertise a 20–30% off from retail-value savings on furniture. That’s a lot of savings!
Humble beginnings and a humble attitude
KeyPiece Furniture started with humble beginnings as a side hustle in 2020, birthed out of necessity when Chandler and Allison’s salaries were cut in half due to the COVID pandemic. In order to continue their ministry jobs with the youth group they led, they began buying pieces of furniture from local auctions and reselling them out of the basement and garage of their condo. These were the days of renting U-hauls and filling every nook of their home with inventory!
From best friends to business partners, Chandler and Allison’s journey together has spanned every stage—dating, engagement, and now six years of marriage.
Whether building a business, leading a ministry, or creating spaces for others to call home, they’ve thrived in collaboration, drawing from each other’s strengths while always adding personality into everything they do.
A bright future
The KeyPiece storefront officially opened in November of 2024 and has been a bustling hub of orders ever since.
“Entrepreneurship has been a constant in our lives—from selling one-of-a-kind handmade crafts and offering photography services to cutting hair in college, fixing cars in our garage, teaching guitar lessons, and selling liquidation items from our basement. Building something together has always been our passion.” Allison Stevens, owner.
Their future here looks inevitably bright as entrepreneurship runs through Chandler and Allison’s veins. They credit all of their success to being people who are committed to excellent customer service, integrity and putting the Lord first in everything they do.
“Although the location and the business model have shifted over the years, our core values have always been the same… to offer key pieces of furniture at great prices. We are excited to continue to grow this business and serve our community in this way!” Chandler Stevens, owner.
