Out with the Old, in with the Luxe

Bombshell Salon & Spa celebrates 11 years in business with a major glow up. From 2,000–5,000 square feet, size is just the beginning of what this salon now has to offer. You will just have to see it to believe it.

After a year of vision casting, planning, and five months of construction, the lifelong dream of Scott and Rachel Harned, owners of Bombshell Salon & Spa and The Salon Academy, has come to fruition. Bombshell Blow Dry Bar, now doing business as Bombshell Salon & Spa, is located at 2975 West Shore Drive, Suite 60, Holland, Mich.

“This vision-creating a beautiful, empowering space that blends beauty, education, and wellness has been in my heart for as long as I can remember,” Rachel Harned, owner, said. “Every step we’ve taken has brought us closer to making that dream a reality. I owe it all to God, my husband Scott, and my amazing business partner at the academy, Nikol Taylor.”

The stunning 1,500 square-foot lobby and newly-added 3,000 square feet are nothing short of jaw dropping, boasting an experience the minute you walk in.

“Welcome to the new Bombshell,” Rachel humbly expressed.

Yes, a welcome indeed. From the custom front desk to the stunning new lobby, Bombshell Salon & Spa is giving you a new experience, entirely focused on excellence and top-of-the-line services. Enjoy a coffee from the full espresso bar and stroll the curated boutique featuring trendy-chic style, earthy finds, and house plants ready to go home with you! A modern glam feature wall has been added to take photos of you and your new look. Six custom makeup stations line the wall with a private, infrared sauna for self care. Expanding their bridal services has been a long-time goal, and with brand new leadership and bridal offices, they are ready to make your wedding day special from the very start. The newly-added Luxe Lounge is a perfect place not only for bridal parties but any party to have a full experience of the salon and its offerings.

“For the last 10 years, I put my health on the back burner while building my business," Rachel said. "But over the past year, I’ve been on a personal journey to prioritize self care, and it’s changed everything. I’ve learned how to manage stress in a healthier way, and for me, that meant making real lifestyle changes. One of the biggest game changers was incorporating infrared sauna sessions into my routine. After just four months, I saw a huge improvement in my overall health and well-being. That experience is what inspired me to bring a sauna into Bombshell—not just for guests, but for our team. Wellness isn’t a luxury—it’s necessary. And I want to create a space where self care is a normal, valued part of everyday life.”

Every detail has been crafted with intention, community, and excellence in mind. It shows the minute you are greeted at the door, with kindness and smiles all around.

“I’m endlessly proud of our team and the way they show up every day with heart, hustle, and an unwavering commitment to hospitality," Rachel said. "It’s not just about great hair or relaxing spa services—it’s about making every guest feel seen, valued, and truly cared for. Our staff goes above and beyond to create memorable experiences, and that level of passion and dedication is what makes Bombshell so special.”
