Sip into Fall at Tanglewood Winery

Tanglewood Winery is throwing their 6th annual fall festival this weekend: October 9-10. Here’s what to expect.

The taste of juicy apple pie captured in a long-stemmed glass. The warm glow of a bonfire reflecting off the faces of your friends and family all gathered together under the October sky. You’re full from homemade barbecue and the sweet notes of live, acoustic music. In the distance, you hear the happy squeals of young families on hayrides and those pursuing friendly competition in the form of an autumn scavenger hunt. It’s fall at Tanglewood Winery.

Tanglewood Winery’s annual fall festival is a free-to-attend event designed to celebrate autumn and the cozy, crisp atmosphere we all crave. Located at 15811 Riley St. in Holland, MI, Tanglewood is the Holland-local’s go-to winery. The fall festival will take place on Friday, October 9th from 2:00 - 9:00 pm, and on Saturday, October 10th from 1:00 - 9:00 pm.

Come Hungry (and Thirsty)

Trevor Wassink, Owner and Head Winemaker, along with the team at Tanglewood has arranged to have BBQ food trucks available on both Friday and Saturday for their fall fest. On Friday, your tastebuds will be delighted by Bearded Dad’s BBQ and their Texas-style smoked meats. And, on Saturday, Two Bones BBQ will be whipping up the delicious food: ribs, brisket, mac-n-cheese, all the fixings.

Those venturing out on Friday to Tanglewood will also have the option of enjoying a gourmet waffle … on a stick! Waffle Stix will be there with their savory and sweet waffle creations. Think an Elvis-inspired peanut butter and banana waffle stick, a Southern chicken and waffles stick, a caramel apple crunch stick to pair with your apple pie wine; the options are endless.

To quench your thirst, Tanglewood Winery has a wide array of Michigan fruit-derived wines. In celebration of the fall festival, Trevor is offering 10% off “three seasonal Tanglewood favorites: Harvest Sangria, Apple Pie, and Peach Cobbler.” Additionally, a special-release barrel of Dragon’s Blood will be available in the tasting room–an opportunity Port-style wine enthusiasts won’t want to miss.

Local Musicians

Setting the tone for the evening on Friday Mark Pawlak, a Holland local, will be playing acoustic covers and other tunes you can’t help but sing along. Saturday will feature Grayson Barton armed with his guitar and all your favorite songs.

An Unforgettable Evening

Complete with hayrides, bonfires, and a scavenger hunt (including prizes for winners!). The 6th annual fall festival at Tanglewood Winery is bound to be an unforgettable evening.
