Below are highlights of a few June school board meetings happening tonight in Ottawa County. Whether it be to support, question, or request change, community members are invited to engage and stay informed of what is happening in their school district.
Hudsonville Public Schools’ June school board meeting was last Thursday, June 12. They voted to approve Thrun policies. Click here for minutes from the meeting.
At 7:00pm, the CPS Board of Education will conduct the Truth-In-Taxation meeting. The Regular Meeting will follow with the board voting on items such as the MHSAA Annual Membership, approval of the 2024–25 Budget, the General Fund & Service Fund Budgets for 2025–26, Neola policy updates, an Operating Millage Rate of 17.83, and a Debt Millage Rate of 8.99.

The GHAPS meeting begins at 7:00pm. A few of the agenda items include the Benchmark Assessment Scores and Goals, 2025 Tax Levy, and Final Budget Amendment. The Superintendent’s report will include the Strategic Plan presentation and a first reading of twenty Thrun board policies.

The HPS school board will meet at 5:00pm for a Budget Hearing. Following, at 5:30pm, will be the Regular Meeting during which there will be committee and study session reports and/or recommendations on: Teacher for Learning, Finance and Property, Executive, and Study Session.

The SLPS Board of Education will meet for a Budget Hearing at 5:45pm, with the Regular Meeting immediately following. During the Regular Meeting, the board will be voting on the 2025–26 Budget Resolution, 2025–26 Tax Levy, and 7th–8th grade science curriculum.

The WOPS Board of Education will meet for a Budget Hearing at 6:00pm. The Regular Meeting will follow, but it is unclear whether it will be immediately following the hearing or at the standard time of 7:00pm.
The WOPS website provides a generic agenda for the Regular Meetings but does not appear to offer a meeting-specific agenda prior to the meeting.
