This event is so much more than ice cream… Take a ride in a Model A or test your skills at historic yard games (and make sure to stop by the museum!). This is perfect for history buffs who might just have a little sweet tooth on the side. This year’s Ice Cream Social will mark the 50th Anniversary of the Dekker Huis Museum. Hold up… I’m not done yet! If you own a Stanley water bottle this might be your chance. If you bring your clean, empty insulated cup (up to 40 oz), the S. Kamphuis crew will fill it with your choice of vanilla, blueberry, or twist ice cream topped off with whipped cream, a waffle cone chip, and cherry for $10. If you are in search of a bonding experience with the older kiddos in the family, take them out to see a movie—but this experience is much better than a stuffy, old theatre. This evening, sponsored by Mill Pond Realty, puts you right on the marina waters under the stars for a showing of Ford vs. Ferrari! I’m sure we’re all used to a market when the bright sun is beating down on us. But in this market you won’t have to worry as much about the heat. The Night Market is an evening-based outing meant to ship, eat, and peruse. There will be a variety of local vendors that offer homemade goods, unique finds, and more. West Michigan Regional Airport, Holland
Are you ready to fly up high in the sky? The annual Aviation Day will feature a pancake breakfast, free flights for kids, flight simulations, and a classic car show. From the EAA Young Eagles to WWII C-47 “Hairless Joe,” visitors can expect to witness a series of aircraft at this event. There are a few things to note: registration for the pancake breakfast or a flight aboard the historic aircraft must be completed in order to participate in those experiences. Hudsonville Fairgrounds
It’s almost that time of year! The “Biggest Little Fair in Michigan” is back at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds. From stellar fair food, rides, and livestock shows to still exhibits, you’ll have a plethora of experiences to choose from. The grandstand events are by far the most anticipated—from motocross to truck and tractor pulls, so make sure you grab your tickets fast. The fair will span over a week.
