Over 1,000 patients facing a critical shortage of affordable care in Holland will be better served as of Monday, thanks to a new doctor’s office opening at 9640 Adams Street near the I-196 expressway.
Christian Healthcare Centers (CHC) is opening a new doctor’s office in Holland to better serve local patients. The new office will address a critical shortage of affordable primary care, which was identified in the 2023 Ottawa County Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).
This is great news for the over 1,000 patients in the greater Holland area who CHC has already served at their Grand Rapids office. Those patients will now be saving 30-40 minutes on their commute, a significant improvement in access to affordable primary care for the Holland/Zeeland area.
The 2023 CHNA included responses from adult residents and stakeholders such as hospital directors, physicians, and nurses. It revealed that Hollanders and people across Ottawa County face healthcare barriers such as appointment delays and high costs.

The new CHC location offers an affordable option to patients, and opens on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the corner of Adams Street and 96th Avenue. CHC invested $2.3M into construction of a new building located one minute from I-196. Patients will receive comprehensive primary care services, including family medicine, in-office X-rays, labs, and medication.
New patients wishing to enroll before the grand opening on May 5 can have their one-time new member enrollment fee waived, a savings of up to $75.
In a public press release, CHC explained they serve a “diverse patient base drawn from 45 Michigan counties” and offer “an innovative Direct Primary Care” service model. Patients pay a low monthly fee and receive unlimited access to high-quality care without extra costs like copays or deductibles.
CHC originally opened in 2015. It has locations in Grand Rapids, Newaygo, and Holland. It is organized as a non-profit medical services organization and has an all-volunteer board of directors.
According to a press release, the public is invited to the grand opening on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 11:00 am to learn how CHC is transforming healthcare in Holland.
